No. Version 2.0.0 has no login: install it and start using it.
Only once, to download the model (1.95 GB). After that it runs entirely on your computer, even offline.
If it runs After Effects, it almost certainly can. Copilot uses about 1 GB of memory while it works and answers in seconds on an Apple Silicon Mac or a PC with a graphics card. On a CPU-only machine it still works, just slower.
Nothing leaves your computer. Copilot reads the current frame or your prompt, decides on the animation and applies it to your layers. The model is Qwen3.5, open source (Apache 2.0 license), and it runs on your machine.

Download the .zxp file (the same one for Mac and Windows) and install it with the free ZXP Installer. Then open it in After Effects under Window › Extensions › Brazu and, in the Copilot tab, click "Download model" once.
